The scroll is now ready (sans pins in this photo) to show at ‘Modern Renaissance’ in London.
Chengxi sent through a few questions for discussion so I’m going to prepare for those over the next few days. They’re mainly talking about how AI could affect what it means to be human and creativity as a whole.
I will be displaying the piece on a low table, propped up by wooden children’s blocks to make it more dynamic rather than laying flat.
I can’t wait to show it and for an interesting discussion with artists, film makers and scientists.
I’m cutting another two handles this evening to see if the wood being thicker would look better. And then I am completely ready to show!
Alongside this, I’ve nearly finished my presentation for my research paper, which I’m excited to share with everyone on the MA. Feeling very happy to be lucky enough to having so many discussions around tech and art in one week!

I’m unsure whether I’m going to tie it with cable or use string. The other option is to get a usb c cable and take off the protective plastic, that way it would tie a lot easier

I do quite like the messiness of it though
