I went on a lovely trip to Birmingham to look around some of the galleries. I didn’t end up getting any photos because unfortunately my principle of ‘being in the moment’ when with others sometimes extends itself into times when I really should be pulling my phone out, so photos on here are pulled from the internet.

First stop was Ikon gallery to look around the HTEIN LIN ‘Escape’ exhibition

This tied in perfectly with my current exploration for my paper, looking into ritual and it being inherent in all of us, finding play even in dark moments.

He was a political prisoner from 1998-2004 in Myanmar,

Next I went to Birmingham museum and looked around the Rembrant etching exhibition
