I’m in a productive phase for sure.

I’ve gotten a lot of my larger piece done but it doesn’t escape me that it’s going to be almost impossible to transport it down to London without dishing out a lot of money that I don’t have.

So over the past few days I’ve been thinking of pieces I can create that fit into the theme of the larger painting. Of ‘dark night of the soul’ and ‘rebirth’.

I’ve purchased some bedsheets and a yoga mat, both of which I can feasibly carrying with me to uni on the train.

I’m going to paint words and symbols on these, the bedsheets representing the dark night of the soul and the yoga mat representing rebirth. Both sides of the cycle. I may also include my old hiking boots that I no longer use as part of the rebirth.

I still need to figure out how I will hang/ display these and also think about taking a photograph of my oil painting once it’s done so I can also display that as part of the collection.

I need to speak to Jonathan about how to exhibit them.

I’m potentially going to put soil (which I’ll need to buy whilst down in London) over the bedsheets with little plant tags of what is growing out of the darkness.

Still need to really think about what I’m trying to communicate
