POETRY:

Last year I called another woman a slut
Not to her face
To a man
Who had been brewing jealousy
in my gut
As the word spilled out my mouth
I knew I had drank his poison
Allowed it to seep deeply into my veins
Flow through my blood
Cut myself off from desire
Passion
From the darkest parts of my mind
Betrayal
Of self
In one word about another
He knew in that moment
That the deed had been done
The envelope pushed
I was chanting his bible verse
I was denouncing my own kind
And she became the virgin
The untouched mind
A blank sheet to be poisoned
I became the slut
Soiled with his influence
PHOTOGRAPHY FROM WALK
Didn’t get out for a walk today, it was raining and very cold
CURRENT PIECE
I’m starting a bigger piece today. Inspired by the Voynich Manuscipts.
I’m also looking at symbols and characters that could make up my ‘language’

NEXT PIECE INSPIRATION

Voynich Manuscript
I want to create a 90 x 120 piece inspired by this style but first I’m going to experiment with the sewing border on small canvas and look at different ways I can interpret and play around with it.
To take it to a nerdy level I want to develop my own cryptic language that I then feed through some of the visuals.

Hilma Klint
Klint also offers me similar inspiration to the manuscript. Very mystical and spiritual but alot more measured. I feel the link between them both is that they are intuitive. Working on the smaller canvases I hope to find what comes out when I am flowing from intuition and connecting ‘to the divine’ (basically going into gamma waves and complete flow)
