I had a 1-1 with Jonathan on the 25th of October with Jonathan Kearney

We discussed where I see my strengths and flaws lie:

I realised my strengths are very much in conceptualising and coming up with ideas and plans. But potentially not letting those plans materialise and getting stuck in the idea generation phase.

My flaws are in the day to day discipline of my practice and my technical abilities. We spoke about how i felt i ‘hid’ behind certain things.

My goal is to develop my own recognisable style and in order to do this I need to constant and consistent discipline that allows me to achieve this. The freedom to make mistakes and be imperfect but also the confidence to stick to one particular style and way of creating. This will take ALOT of self trust, and the ability to continue with something I may fall in and out of love with.

I took Jonathan through some of my blog posts, specifically my performance monologue and my reflection on ‘self portrait as a coffee pot’. We spoke about me potentially doing this weekly and how it could turn into something bigger.
